Some chapters of life arrive all at once — without warning — and without any roadmap for how to survive them. That was Brittany Brody's reality when she found herself grieving the loss of both parents while simultaneously becoming a new mother to twin girls and leading a growing company through its most pivotal chapter.
"I had to keep going because life did not give me any other choice."
Publicly, Brittany founded TellTail at MIT Sloan, raised a $3.4M seed round, built an incredible team and a marketplace connecting responsible dog breeders with families looking for a pet, navigated a complicated fundraising environment, bought her company back, and got acquired.
But privately, and simultaneously, Brittany lost both of her parents back to back over just a few years, had spontaneous identical twin daughters, and managed affairs, estates, and the weight of complex trauma and grief — all at once.
Today, Brittany lives at the intersection of entrepreneurship and the messy, non-linear reality of grief. Through TikTok, Substack, speaking, and direct community connection, she creates space for stories that don't fit neatly into a grief pamphlet — stories of people who are moving forward not because the pain is gone, but because life keeps moving regardless.
She is a resilience researcher, writer, and creator who speaks where audiences need permission to be human — to grieve loudly, build boldly, and hold both things at once.
